A line I'm holding

I keep my family private. That's on purpose, and it isn't changing. But I'll tell you the man I'm trying to be for them — because that part's fair game, and it's the whole point.

You won't find my wife and my boys turned into content here. They didn't sign up for a channel. What you'll get instead is the honest work of a husband and father trying to become someone worth following at home first — because if it doesn't hold there, it doesn't count anywhere.

Why "pick two" is personal

The lie that you only get to pick two — money or family, health or hustle — I didn't invent that argument. I grew up inside it.

My dad worked hard. Harder than most. But he worked hard and not smart, and he put the work first, and some things at home and in his own body paid the bill for that. And — this is the part the internet always skips — he loved me. He stuck up for me. He was there. Strip the love out and you get a cheap post about a dead man. Keep it in and you get the truth: a good man who bought the lie that you only get two.

The man I'm trying to be

• Present, not just providing. Physically there and actually there.
• Done being a chameleon. A man with a flag his kids can name.
• Forwards or backwards — there is no neutral, and they're watching which way I go.

That's the fourth front, and it's the finish line all the others run toward. Faith so I have something to give them. Finances so I can build something for them. Fitness so I'm around to enjoy them. Family — because that's who it was always for.
