Fitness · #3 of the four

You can't fake fitness.

You can fake money. You can fake happiness. You can fake almost anything. Not this. The body keeps the score, and it doesn't lie.

Watch me try — not watch me preach

I'm not a fitness guru. I'm a 47-year-old who got hurt, got heavy in the soul, and is climbing back to the strongest version of himself by 50.

So I'm not going to sell you a six-week shortcut. I'm going to document the climb — the training, the setbacks, the honest number on the scale — and you get to watch it work or not work in real time. That's the whole deal with everything here: no counterfeit, no after-the-fact highlight reel.

Why fitness is third

Faith first, finances second, then fitness — and the order is the argument. Your destiny fails when your body stops working. You can have the faith and the resources and still forfeit the whole thing because you let the temple fall apart. I've watched it happen. I'm not doing that on the back nine.

Where I'm starting from

I got baptized in 2013 at 240 pounds, a long way from who I wanted to be. I turned it around once — leaner, stronger, alive again. Then life, injury, and a hard couple of years took some of it back. So this isn't a "before and after." It's a "before and during." Again. Out loud.

The goal is simple and it's brutal: peak fitness by 50. Not shredded-for-a-photo. Strong, durable, able to carry the weight of everything else on this list. — the fitness charge
